A Life Lived In Fear Of Child Protection Industry Is A Life Half Lived

A link on the Facebook Group today came through with this petition. It says the petition has received one thousand signatures. When you look at the time since this legislation was introduced to the US to legalize kidnapping of children from their biological family, sixteen years have passed. Indeed thirteen years have passed since Senator Nancy Schaefer was murdered after she was pushing for DSS reform.

We are on a treadmill and we are like mice being breed for the purposes of this industry. How could all the money in every country that goes to the Child Protection Industry and the NGO's that feed off the corporations under State and Commonwealth funding arrangements have been better spent?

Perhaps a way to better spend tax dollars is to support families who are in need, to show compassion to those in need, and to weed out the real child abuse cases using correct legal proceedures and crimiinal proceedings. It would be wise leadership to act to streamline child protection within the policing agencies rather than active police investigations being refered to child protection social workers, seeing as a crime is a crime, and indeed a crime on a child is the most serious offence to most people.

When such crimes go through the courts, if they can get there there does seem to be leaniency on sentencing. I maintain that if people are abusing children that they must be then charged in the criminal courts. False allegations against parents which are then used to remove children from loving homes and a lack of various types of support for parents are clogging up the system that was meant to only rescue children in need of protection. It is destroying lives and leaving people in grief for the entirety of their lives. No one likes to be lied and gossiped about, or seen to be something that they are not.

We must petition and we must attempt to bring change to the Child Protection Industry and not live in fear of the government because of threats to our families or because they have taken our children and hence we become slaves to them with our children the price being paid. The damage to the human psych is immense. Much of the damage is being done using false psychiatric reports against parents and then when the children act out in care because they just want to go home, the children are then drugged for ADHD or some other false diagnosis.

Indeed no one is saying that there are children out there who do not need help or rescuing from dangerous situations. However there are far too many people for governments to ignore that have done nothing to warrent the way they have been treated as a family by the Child Protection Industry, or who could be aided with the correct government proceedures in place that show a real Human or Social Service.

Other countries should be petitioning their State and Federal Governments to let them know that the parents of the children have had enough, like this US example.

Stopping the Department of Social Service Corruption

On November 19th, 1997, Bill Clinton signed into law the Adoption and Safe Families Act which changed the way some DSS departments will forever look at family placements. Under this legislation, DSS is now compensated for terminating parents rights and completing adoptions. Under this legislation, the Federal Government rewards local DSS agencies between $7,200 and $12,000 per child for each safe adoption. DSS does not receive any financial benefits when loving family members step up to raise their own blood relatives. County DSS agencies are encouraged to move children through the system as fast as possible and given financial benefits based on the amount of parents rights who are terminated per month.

These financial benefits have created what some senators have called a "legalized kidnapping" system. Senator Nancy Schaefer researched over 900 cases during a four year period and was horrified with "kidnapping" that was being encouraged. She was pushing for DSS reform and authored a report called "The Corrupt Business of Child Protective Services" before her suspicious murder in March of 2010.

Under current North Carolina DSS policy, each county is individually empowered without direct supervision from the state DSS office. This reporting system has fostered an environment where counties feel comfortable with their ability to strong arm good families for their benefit.

Please sign this petition to encourage amended legislation to level the playing field so that DSS is rewarded equal dollars for family placements as outside adoptions. By signing this petition, we are demanding our US Senators and the US House of Representatives to further investigate the actions of DSS and continue the reform started by Senator Nancy Schaefer. We are also telling our North Carolina Senators and Representatives to create a state office that oversees questionable county DSS placements and has the power to change them.

By signing this petition, we are also saying that we know of a NC case involving outside placement involving Rachel Norris and Bert Radford and are encouraging the state office to drive a post termination review that would allow the child to be placed with his family and siblings and to prevent adoption by a foster family that is employed in the same building as the county DSS office. Rachel Norris and Bert Radford can provide a loving home like no other where he can be raised with his three siblings.
